What Age Do You Act?

You Are 20 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.
What Age Do You Act?

Haaa... I'm evergreen.

Six Degrees of Separation Theory

There's a theory that's recently becomes famous as the effect of friendster and other networking websites. Six Degrees of separation is the theory that anyone on the planet can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of acquaintances that has no more than five intermediaries (wikipedia).

Anyway, this is only the story 2 degrees separation... I had primary school friend, R, that moved to another island when we were in the fourth grade (1992). Since then, we never communicated again. Five years later, in 1997, I met a girl in my highschool, K, who happened to be one of my best friends. We graduated in 2000. She continued her study in Surabaya (the capital city of East Java, Indonesia), while I packed my stuff and flew to Singapore. We still kept in touch though... *touch touch*

Time passes. Didn't realize that 5 years has passed. When I browsed K'sFriendster (this website is coollll), I saw her status as: attached. Then I the testimonial that her boyfriend gave to her. Wahh... I saw his picture and felt like I've seen him somewhere. I checked his profile then found that he's from the same high school as me =). Surprised...

K's boyfriend is actually R, my long lost friend that I haven't met for 13 yearsss... Wah lau... This world is small, eh? Two degrees separatation ;).

So, watch out ya... Maybe, your boyfriend or girlfriend is actually my primary or even kindergaten friend, lol. If that's the case, let me know. Maybe I can tell you some embarassing stories she/he is too ashamed to share with you... =)

How to show courtesy when driving in Singapore?

I somehow read Singapore's Today newspaper today's edition. It's mentioned that government is organizing a campaign such for people to show courtesy when driving their cars. You know how to do that? By waving one of the hands to other drivers, bikers, or anyone on the road. Pretty cool huh... Hmm... Singaporeans need to practice the 2nd Singapore's Wave .

The campaign is started by convincing the taxi drivers to do this Singapore's wave. Even more amazing is that, there're some money incentives...

Not trying to be negative, but frankly speaking, I think this money incentive is pretty intriguing. Singapore is really famous as the Fine Country. When spitting is fined $xx, we need to pay $x. On the other hand, we can consider if we wave our hand when driving, we will be fined -$xx, we'll get paid $xx. Haha... cool

Too bad, I have no money to afford a car or two, thus I can afford to be negatively fined. So, how about make it simple, please fine me if I wave my hands to you when I meet you at Orchard road... I think I can make a living by waving my hands =)

Afraid for a reason

Each person has a feeling of being afraid. Not only to ghosts, but to other simple things. Some people said, "I'm brave... I can handle everything", but the fact is, everyone has something to fear. To name a few: fear of rejection, losing someone important, not being acknowledged, having no money, heights.

Fear of height Posted by Picasa

Well, we can't say that having fear is not good nor bad. What happens is that, some people let loose their emotions, they let fears control their daily lives even in their relationship with others. This will result in an unhealthy relationship. The person who's afraid of something might happen will push his opinions as far as his fear won't happen without trying to understand the other party's opinions. Nope... not healthy huh...

What're your fears? ... Well, easier to be said than done, but don't let your fears control you...

Football Mania

There's a time when watching football (soccer) is more important than going to work. Especially, for a football addict like me. This morning, England vs Poland at 3 am... and I need to go to work at 830 am. What a torture... Sometimes it's better to be jobless

I remember when I had my 6-month industrial training (industrial attachment), there was Euro 2004. I watched a match and end up had a headache in the morning when I wake up. I went to the medical centre in my university complex. The conversation between the doctor and me went something like this:

----------
Doctor: "What are your symptoms?"
Me: "I don't know, doc. This mornin' I woke up and felt dizzy. My body is very weak now, feels like losing my energy"
Doctor: "Hoo... how come?"
Me: "Errr... I had a very late sleep last night and woke up very early this morning. Guess that's the reason..."
Doctor: "aha, that's a common problem for all students in NTU. Okay, I suggest you to take some rests now"
Me: (disbelief) "That's it, Doc? No prescription or anything?? Errr... I'm having industrial attachment now. I guess I can't go to the office now. Errr... Could you produce a Medical letter so that I can report to my supervisor that I can't come to the office today, please??" *big smile*
Doctor: "Lol, no problem... I bet you can't go to your office today" *wink*
----------

Gosh, it's tough to be a footballmania -_-"...
