Do more things on weekends

I can do more things on weekends compared to usual business days. Err... at least, this weekend, I could do more in:
In Bali, we always say, "Everyday is Sunday in Bali". So we enjoy every second of our lives much better there. I would've wished the same thing in Singapore, so that I could do more stuff, enjoy my life, and laugh more. Apparently, that's not the case. Coz, if everyday is Sunday in Singapore, I won't have any income. High expenditure + low revenue = budget deficit.

Anyways, The top of my wishlist is used to be an LCD Screen. However, I just realised something, ... I don't like computers so much. Though I earn money from it, it has turned me into a mouse potato in the office. So, I decided to remove LCD screen from the top and change it to a racing bicycle. I made a pact with Fida today that we're going to cycle together. Soo... The numero uno of my wishlist this year is: ... A Racing Bike.

Durians, fruits with spikes

Last week has been an amazing week though it wasn't started really well. The FOMC had delivered a speech such that USD value is declining. Anyways, speaking about the week being amazing, there were:

What a well spent week.

Anyways, speaking about the durian trip on Saturday, my friends and I ate lots and lots of durians. We probably ate the whole stock which was meant to be exported to Singapore. Hmm... no wonder I couldn't find any durian sold in Singapore on Sunday. I rather felt guilty if it was true that we finished off the meant-for-export stock =). Check all the pictures here. 'Here' is linked to the following URL: http://www.flickr.com/photos/madeadi/tags/durian/, in case you're wondering about it ^^.

Many new things I discovered during this trip:

  1. The color of durians can be yellow or rather white
  2. Durian trees are tall
  3. The farmers don't pick up the fruits, but the fruits will fall to the ground themselves
  4. Indonesia is #2 in pineapple production, and malaysia is either #8 or #9 =)
  5. It's such a small world, coz when I went to a fisherman's village at somewhere in Malaysia, I met Calvin, my office mate. Hmm... hmm... The conspiracy theory would've explained that he'd been given a specific task by my company to spy on me coz I knew too much about classified information that nobody should know. *apparently, I read too many novels*

Another thing that I like about this trip was the bus ride. It's been a while since I had more than 2 hours bus ride. Six to Nine years ago, when I was still in high school, I used to travel 17 hours with a bus during school holz to go home. I miss it so much.

Some pics

Too bad the picture at the post below can't be displayed. Thanks tisa and Is for pointing it out. However, though, I'm too lazy to upload it again. My forefinger is too heavy to lift, so I can't click my damned mouse.

Luckily, I found some pictures on me from the triathlon website. Check it out here.

The photo-taking company puts a bloody expensive price tag. 4R for SGD 12.50?? Blood-sucking price.

Still, I'm signing off this post with a high note as I could achieve my personal time target to finish the race. =)

Triathlon is not that difficult

Luis and I at OSIM clinic day 1. Too bad he didn't participate in the actual day

It's not difficult afterall to do triathlon. I participated in OSIM Triathlon. Mini category only, but it was a hell lot of fun. Thanks to fida for the racing bike, and Gabriel for the helmet.

The toughest part of the racing, was swimming in the open water. I hate it, especially when they're lots of ppl going to the water at the same time. Expect to involuntarily receive some kicks or hand swings from the other racers swimming with you.

The easiest was cycling as many people used mountain bikes. I had a slight advantage as I used a racing bike.

Other objectives: Standard chartered marathon and SAFRA Sheares brigde run
