Flying Made

Last week has been an amazing week though it wasn't started really well. The FOMC had delivered a speech such that USD value is declining. Anyways, speaking about the week being amazing, there were:

• a welcome dinner cum board games activities on Thursday
• Asia bar night out on Friday
• a Durian cum pineapple trip to M'sia on Saturday
• an excellent dinner + movie watching on Sunday

What a well spent week.

Anyways, speaking about the durian trip on Saturday, my friends and I ate lots and lots of durians. We probably ate the whole stock which was meant to be exported to Singapore. Hmm... no wonder I couldn't find any durian sold in Singapore on Sunday. I rather felt guilty if it was true that we finished off the meant-for-export stock =). Check all the pictures here. Many new things I discovered during this trip:

1. The color of durians can be yellow or rather white
2. Durian trees are tall
3. The farmers don't pick up the fruits, but the fruits will fall to the ground themselves
4. Indonesia is #2 in pineapple production, and malaysia is either #8 or #9 =)
5. It's such a small world, coz when I went to a fisherman's village at somewhere in Malaysia, I met Calvin, my office mate. Hmm... hmm... The conspiracy theory would've explained that he'd been given a specific task by my company to spy on me coz I knew too much about classified information that nobody should know. *apparently, I read too many novels*

Another thing that I like about this trip was the bus ride. It's been a while since I had more than 2 hours bus ride. Six to Nine years ago, when I was still in high school, I used to travel 17 hours with a bus during school holz to go home. I miss it so much.
