Da vinci code and the points of discussions

I watched Da Vinci Code 5 days ago and I said that the movie was incredible. I've read the book as well, so I pretty much know the story line before watching the movie. All I can say, the movie has presented the book very well in about 90 minutes. It's told about the essence of the novel.

The book has created a big controversy. It created "chaos" over a belief that has been established for more than 2000 years. People said that Da Vinci Code is only a fiction, thus we shouldn't take it so seriously. But that's not totally true. In my opinion, the books is not only about whether Jesus married or not; the book has some good points that most people probably miss out. It brings up some points of discussion which are:
  1. History can be used by the ruler party to strengthen their power
  2. Two wrongs will not make it right
  3. Asking question and trying to find the answer are the essence of human beings

1. History can be used by the ruling party to strengthen their power
A ruling party can 'change' history by destroying the information that they don't want people to see, and publish the information that gives supports to the legacy of their power. This happens everywhere, from the leaders in the village, kingdoms, and even in religious movements.

2. Two wrongs will not make it right
Just because the age of some statements is more than a thousand of years, if it was not right in the past, then it's still not right in the current time. Two wrongs won't make it right.

3. Asking question and trying to find the answer are the essence of human beings
If you wanna find out about something, you have to find it yourself. People will have different interpretation about something. Thus, the best way to find the answer is to find it yourself, especially for your way of life.

These points have a pretty deep meaning. If I discuss in details, it will touch sensitive issues about religions vs way of life, which some people might find it offensive. Heck, what is a religion if it cannot be discussed?

Think about this:
*three blind men claim touched different parts of an elephant. The nose, legs, and the tusks, accordingly. After that, each of them claimed they could describe what an elephant looks like, and they argued each other coz each of them gave different explanations. The debate continued till each of them wanted to physically enforce their argument.
.... if only these blind men admitted their imperfectness and discussed over a unified solution

Comments:
Wao, at last I met (or just realize) that you share the same belief and perspective about 'religion' or way of life as me. I admit, the person around me are very uptight about Da Vinci Code, thus there is no room for discussion at all. It's like what you say about blind mand toucing the tusk part of elephant etc etc...
