Ideally, distance is easy to conquer

I was a big believer of a long-distance relationship. But of course, usually people learn a lesson the hard way, and I did it as well. That turned my opinion about LDR inside out, upside down. Lots of my friends were concerned about my long distance relationship, they didn't believe that it's gonna work. But of course, as stubborn as I am, I said to them that it's highly possible. Then I told them about the plan and such, and the determination to do something which sounds impossible.

Ideally, distance is easy to conquer. It all can be planned. I had a good plan. However, though, practically, distance can change a relationship and ... the plan itself. But apparently, it doesn't work.

Why I'm writing this post is because a good friend of mine is in a relationship, and the significant other is going back to his home country. She told me about the possibility of having an LDR. Of course, as a good friend I would say what my experience about having that kind of relationship. My friend should not feel the same feeling that I had.

I think an LDR would need a huge amount of commitment from both parties. Strong foundation and same vision are necessary. Of course it can be done. It just needs efforts.
